An Apostille is an official certificate that authenticates a public document so it is legally recognized in countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention.
Texas-issued documents (birth certificates, notarized documents, court records) need a State Apostille. Federal documents such as FBI background checks need a Federal Apostille from the U.S. Department of State. We'll tell you which one you need.
